I'll admit it, I'm taking several days between runs at the moment. The last few weeks of summer is always jam packed with the things that should have been done across the rest of my time off and so runs are taking a slight back seat. I'm still doing them though, I promise!
Today I completed Week 7 Run 2 with relative ease - and by ease I mean I'm not begging for an oxygen mask (just asking politely ). I find that I slow down between 10 - 20 minutes before picking up the pace a little for the final 5. Perhaps I should just slow down my pace over all...?
Anyway, today something upsetting happened. Laura never said anything at the 5m mark. I waited until the 12.5min announcement in case I had just ignored her (I play spotify over the app so it is sometimes difficult to hear) but again, nothing. It would appear Laura ran off without me! By this I mean the app crashed - grr.
I decided to keep going and run without her, stopping to fix it would only ruin my flow. I knew I'd been stopping before a particular bus stop so figured if I run to the bus stop I would have done the full 25mins.
Wednesday is my next run before another social gathering. Then a big gap until a run Monday due to me moving house *and* a conference this weekend - busy busy. Hopefully by then Laura will have the patience to wait for me

Sounds like you are doing really well - maybe try to set off a little more slowly, then you can always speed up towards the end if you have more in the tank.
Taking more rest days doesn't seem to be any great problem. Keep going, and good luck with the move!
Well done for not letting the technological glitch get in the way! I also am still looking out for Laura to chip in with a comment every now and again... And without the podcast I would be thinking way too much about how hard it is, etc.
so good to keep,on making space for running- it gives you such a personal boost to achieve each outing 😀
This happened to me in the last few weeks, when I left my phone closed for a certain amount of time, the app went to sleep. When I woke it up (because I was wondering what was going on, Laura reappeared but was a few minutes behind. So in the end I did the last weeks of uninterrupted running just listening to my own music and timing myself on a watch. I now enjoy listening to Laura again with the C25k+ podcasts.
In any case well done for keeping at it. The finish line is now in sight.
Ullyrunner says it for me. Slow down a little at the start as it should give you more oomph for your finish. As for Laura she did something similar to me in the last few weeks and I'm afraid I abandoned her as they are, by this point, just continuous runs. I found I really enjoyed running without earphones and meant I was taking in more of my surroundings
You are not the only one leaving several days between runs, I am also doing this, but for different reasons. I had an operation on my foot last October during which my big toe was fused, therefore no longer bends. Initially the consultant told me I would never do zumba or run again (pointed out to him (and I quote) "I run slower than a herd of turtles through a vat of peanut butter, but I run". However, I started zumba again earlier this year and managed that OK (adpating what I can't do to suit my needs, which my zumba teachers seem more than happy to accept). I am now zumbering 3 times a week! I was a bit scared to start C25K training again, but a few weeks ago I decided to take the plunge and go for it again. I am only doing once or twice a week and mainly on the treadmill at the moment (gentler on the foot than the pavement) and am still staying on week 1 at this point until I am completely confident that I am not going to damage my toe, but I will do this, I will complete C25K, I am determined. It may be slow, it certainly won't be pretty, but I will complete this!
As long as you're managing the runs, the gaps don't sound like too much of a problem. They don't sound like they're costing you a significant amount of fitness. Up to some limit, a bigger interval is just a longer recovery time for you body to regrow in.
