C25k take 2

I did c25k a few years ago but injury and illness meant I stopped running after a year.

I never thought I would run again, even though I missed it and enjoyed the buzz. So when a friend started c25k I decided to try again.

This time I am more focused and not so interested in time or speed but taking time to enjoy the experience. Today I ran week 5 run 3 and loved it. I took it slow and steady, focused on my posture and breathing and paced myself right to the end.

Anyone struggling with c25k, it's so worth the hard work and effort. I would suggest you don't force yourself to complete the plan in 9 weeks. Take it slow and steady, build up strength and stamina at your own pace and most importantly, enjoy it 😀

Well done! I've just finished week 8 and I've been doing the plan since Easter!! By the time I finish it will have taken five to six months, but I'm going at my own pace, enjoying it, nds building up my fitness gradually. Enjoy your running :-)

Well with that run behind you, you now know you can finish again, too. I'm glad you've managed to find a way back to this. Hopefully you're able to sustain it nicely after graduation, too. Good of you to also come back to the forum to stand as evidence that there are second chances in c25k, too.

Not what you're looking for?
