Having been off work for 2 days feeling really sick, not being sick, I decided to go out for a kill or cure run.
TBH, I half expected to be back after 5 mins and needing to be sick but no, I find I feel better running today than I have for ages.
So much so that I ended up running 7k and could have given a bit more but arrived at the end of my road.
I can't quite believe it. Very very chuffed
Did it aid my illness.....no, still feel sick but I did end up with a mad dash for the toilet. Is this normal after a slightly longer run!!! Caught me quite unawares!! Glad I didn't stop for a long warm down walk!!!

Just don't do a kill or cure on flu (unless there's new research that proves me wrong). I've heard of peoples hearts giving in when stressed while the runner is suffering from flu. It's apparently a fairly rare condition, but it's probably worth finding out about, just to be on the safe side. Colds, I think you're allowed to add misery to.
Edit: But well done on the *outcome* of the run. You appear to be very much alive and kicking, and back from a successful run.
Perhaps the enforced rest was just what your muscles needed- And perhaps the run was exactly what your gut needed to flush out the bug that was making you feel so ill. Glad you got home safely first though
Take it easy now for a couple of days, you've earned it
