Done and dusted! Ankle is killing from the blister but did a lot of prep before leaving. Cello taping a plaster to it! Yes you read right cello taped!!!! Lol. Extra think socks ( my feet were far too hot during the run) and teddy bear stuffing in the heal of my trainer to try and stop the rubbing. It all worked a treat. I got a smile from a young couple walking past. Looked like a sympathetic smile But still a smile. The run went ok. My legs at the end felt like led but I did it. Wahoo!!! Next run on Friday 😀

Cello taping? Teddy bear stuffing? Am I on the right site? Still, if it works.... anything to get the run finished. Well done.

I know it's ridiculous. It had to be done or else I wouldn't of managed to go out because of this bleedy blister on my heel?

It takes guts to run on a blister. Hopefully you don't have to put up with too many of those. Maybe if you feel a hot spot developing, pause and try to alleviate it somehow? (No, sorry, I don't know how; I have only terrible and ancient blister treatment methods that have been banned all over the world).

A smile like that? It says without words, "Wow, you've got some gumption, hey?" I was reminded of the right way of putting it today:

The people who matter don't mind,

And the people who mind don't matter.

Smiling in pitying admiration (of course they can coexist) is a form of "not minding" (but a bit more positive than that).

Thanks Gary.

I think my problem is that I live in flip flops from April/May to October. So the skin on my heel isn't used to it but once it is healed I think I should be ok and hopefully no more blisters.

How did your 3rd run go? I am looking forward to my run tomorrow but my leg muscles are a little sore today.

Compeed blister plasters, work like a dream. I definitely recommend them. You sound like you are very motivating to keep going - brilliant!
