A nice run this morning. We did a five mile coast/moorland walk yesterday with a few steepish climbs and a long steady ascent which really pained my hips so I wasn't sure if I'd run today but really glad I did. Good luck to everyone else running week 1. We can do this π

Well done you.. that walk counts as rest day exercise... brilliant... anything like that will pay dividends for strengthening the running legs...Stretch well and on you go
Thanks, Oldfloss. Four weeks ago I had such a bad flare that I was on crutches for a week. It made me more determined to get back to running. Glad I made the decision to start again. I've missed it
I started C25K this morning, ive got a spring in my step now and don't feel too bad for it either.. are you going to have rest days inbetween running?? I have a walking routine 5 days a week so now im running too i dont know whether to continue walking on thr suggested running off days.. massive well done from one newbie to anotherβππΌββοΈ
Thank you, and well done for deciding to start. Yes, I'll be walking to work on my rest days plus taking the dog out but I need to incorporate some strength exercises. I'm not sure how to go about that so will have a mooch around the site and see what is recommended. Good luck to us both π
It's gorgeous weather today, so good to be outside. It is funny how a run that we are not sure about doing has the potential to make us feel so good once it is done!
You were thinking about strength exercises - walking the dog is great, I do that too as there's no getting out of it and I love it. Other ideas are bike, Pilates, yoga.
