Definitely easier than the first attempt. My lungs seem to be on board with whole running thing but my legs still have some reservations.
I have added run keeper to my phone so I can keep track of times and distance. Works well but it kept updating me with my progress and talking over Laura. Got it figured out now though.
Does any one else use the pro version, if so is worth upgrading?
Apart from the above a successful if uneventful outing, although a guy who looked to be about 70 zoomed past me, I don’t think any one saw. I’m definitely not giving up now.
Thanks to everyone for their advice and support.

Good for you! Itsounds like you're on track. By the way, I'm on week 3 and the legs still have reservations. Like you, I'm hoping they get with the program soon. 😉
Thanks! I am just having deep muscle aches and (possibly) mild shin splints. I think that I just need to give my legs time to adjust and I need to he sure and take a rest day in between runs.
I don't believe that the pro version of Runkeeper is necessary for me - you should look at what it offers and maybe decide for yourself. I started out using the Laura podcasts -- but I couldn't stand the music , so I simply programmed the required intervals into Runkeeper.
