Well after spending sometime trying to download the pod cast I finally set off with Laura blasting in my ears. I have to say it was not easy buy I managed it, bit of pain in the old calf's and ankles but feel I have achieved something. Looking forward to my next outing on Wednesday, I also found out that the park I used has a parkrun every Saturday morning at 9.30. something for me to build up to as twice around the park = 5k !

Well done! That first step may well be the hardest but keep at it :) Nice that you have parkruns in your area too. Good luck and keep going :)

Goals are good! Well done chum.

Ha ! Nobody said it would be easy and a bit of discomfort in the calves and ankles is only to be expected if you are starting a new form of exercise. BUT very well done for starting and making the commitment to a new healthier you. Good news that your park run is a two lapper because did you know that you can turn up and just do one lap (2.5k) if you'd like a flavour of it before you have a go at the whole thing ? Maybe you could aim for doing that at the halfway mark ? Any way, getting ahead of myself here, wishing you all the best for Wednesday...Let us know how you get on.

Well Done FBS2!!! W1R1 is by far the hardest and the one your body most objects to ... so I hope you stretched well after. Keep at it, take it nice and steady and you will be doing that parkrun in no time :D

Well done !

Youre bound to feel a bit achy and a discomfort at first, I think its our bodies way of protesting after years of couch surfing . You will be fine, you've taken that first step and that's the most important one.

Good luck to you, keep posting , oh and great to have a goal to work for with the Park Run- Excellent ! :-) xxx
