Final Run into Summer Quest -new one starting ... - Couch to 5K
Final Run into Summer Quest -new one starting Monday.
My longest was 8km
I think it will be a little while until I do that distance again but better to be slow and get out there sensibly this time.
Longest run was 10k. Aim was to cope with Coombe 10k off road last sunday and run at least 2/3. I ran all if it and was happy with my time. I now love running in our park/wood, have bettered my 5k time and even ran to work yesterday. So it's gone pretty well with steady improvement and weight definitely settling around 3kg less than when i started 4 months ago.
Longest run was 6k.
I am happy with my 6ks. It is just right for me and I think the dog would stuggle to go any further. And running without him is unthinkable...
As for the quest, there has been ups and down. I wanted to run 60k during the 6 weeks, knowing that I was away for one week.
I had a little trouble week 2 and 3 when I struggled to run 3.5k on several occasions, so I got my thinking cap on, went out one day determined to run 6k no matter what, stopping as many times as necessary. Everytime I stopped running, I would drop a tissue, have a little walk then return to pick up the tissue and carry on with the run. In the end I managed over 7k. This seems to have sent the gremlins packing and I have managed over 5k on most runs after that until the very hot weather arrived.
But it did not matter too much as I had reached 59k with 2 runs to go.
So goal achieved with a measly 1.5k wednesday and we turned back as the dog was not happy.
Happy running everyone.
My longest run was 8.8K, not my longest, but I have been travelling. I have had 2 PBs during this quest, both for 5K, so I'm pleased, nay, delighted with those!
My longest run was 10K and this quest was great for me as it got me through two races! The next quest I want to work on my cadence and hills. It seems every race I've entered so far have them so I might as well try to embrace them!
Thanks RFC for organising and I hope you're feeling a bit better. Have a great weekend fellow questers.
My longest run this time was 5.8K. Fairly pleased with my efforts as life has been very busy recently.
All the best RFC. And thanks.
Are we nearly there yet? (Lands End)
Longest run remains 5k (via Parkrun). I am targeting building up to 8k over the next few weeks / months.
Longest run was 10km. Work and boating has got in the way so only one run each week, but lots of walking and excercising.
Well done everyone with your achievements.
Longest run 3.54kms
Goal of a run or walk daily not achieved but wow what a lot of walking round universities I have done! And very pleased to have got back in the water to swim.
Hope not too late to add on - longest run was 5 miles. Felt bit of plodder this quest but still managed 3 runs a week albeit slower and shorter. Thinking of what to aim for next quest
Thanks for organising, Rfc, and happy Questing to everyone.
My longest run was 8k. I ran regularly and have just realised that I now count 5k as an ordinary run. I started some upper body work. I managed two new PBs during this Quest and got a medal
Unfortunately I'm now on the IC.
My longest run was 5k at Park Run on Saturday. I also did 4k at Running Club and the Manchester Mile last week so I am happy that I ran 3 times last week .
Massive Well done to all Questers and Big hugs to all those on the IC xxx
My longest run was 20.23 miles (32.5km). It hurt!
My target was to do 20m, though, so I'm still very happy.
Lots of love to all - especially those still not running.
