I was so ready for today and after the warm up and first 60 second run I felt good but then by the time the second run came I was on a slow jog and I ended up stopping after 14 minutes as I could only walk and even that was slow walking.. I'm quite dissapointed to be honest but I get that my body isn't used to it and it will take time (probably more that 9 weeks..).
So I'm not marking my first run as complete because it wasn't but I'm going to try and be proud of myself for the effort I'm going to replay the first run on Wednesday and will set myself the goal of keeping going for at least 20 minutes as even a little progress will be an improvement right?

Well done. I did week 1 run 1 yesterday and struggled. Today I am aching A LOT but bizarrely looking forward to run 2. I don't care if I have to stop and walk now or indeed later I just know that whatever I do is better than nothing which is what I was doing before..... Let's struggle on together.
Well done for getting through it!! If it happens again I think I will just walk for the remanding time then as you defiantly have the right idea about being better than nothing
Always keep it a slow jog. As slow as you can go. That might help get through the intervals. And you're absolutely right - any progress is improvement. Many folks on here take longer than nine weeks to finish the program, many of us had to repeat runs. Give yourself a rest day and then get back out the door. We're rooting for you.
Well done for getting started, my very first run I had to stop and lie down half way into my first run I really though I was going to die! Just keep repeating the week till you have done it three times.
