Well, for my 37th Parkrun, my plan was to pop round Tracy's and borrow fancy dress gear, but she's had a clear out and so i decided on my (never worn but had 20 yrs!) VERY silver dress with flower in hair, vaguely 40's style and that was me! should have running vest off but it was good to cool down in at the end! it was actually quite good to run in, just a bit sticky by the end, as it was a sunny but VERY windy day! Tracy was batman, her husband was SUPPOSED to be Robin(but costume from Argos too small so ended up in Tracy's batgirl costume! very fetching indeed!) Tracy , hubby and i ran together, but she would have been happy to lose him as she was puffed out and he said its from too much walking! still we had fun, there were some great costumes, including a guy with a inflatable suit similar to this(if link works!) , his running group are RUNNING "Walk the Wight" tomorrow, amazing!
we got round in one piece along the new course which runs along the edge of the river Medina, very pretty, with circuit of field at start and end(which we all sprinted to crossing the line together
Anyway i'm off now to make/ eat macaroni cheese, and get ready for tomorrow! 26.5 miles hopefully of good weather, good company and a great sense of unity as we "Walk the Wight" for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice, its their 25th year so should be a good event!
Great photo and best of Luck for tomorrow. I am having Mac and cheese too which some asparagus thrown in for good measure. Have a good nights sleep. X.
