Hi Running buddies, After having a week on the Isle of Wight, on holiday and visiting family, with only getting one small run in during that time, I thought lets get back to it, and repeat week7 run3 just to stretch everything and not over do it. I drive to the canal, headphones on, tick, set watch to record, tick, find sound of the sixties on bbc sounds, tick, start c35k, tick. Off I set nice and steady and feeling kind of good, no aches or twinges, I'm enjoying this then suddenly Laura comes on to say I'm at the 12.5 minute mark, that's when I swap to week eight, and carry on to the 14 minute mark before I turn round for return leg, after apologizing to laura for ignoring her I had a great run back along the canal. At the end Stu was feeling it a bit, but as it was the longest yet, including walking was 3.9km, can I get it to 4km this week, only time will tell. At least all the walking I did last week, about 50km all told, helped keep my fitness level up, Week 9 is in sight, getting excited now😀👍. Now on to the garden to get it tidy again, it really grew el whilst we were away.

Just amazing, Pete, that you’re doing all this with a prosthesis that’s not designed in any way for running.. when you get the new one sorted there really will be no stopping you.

well done Pete! I didn’t get a chance when I was in Spain to run but like you did lots walking ! Last Monday I ran a whole 5k which I repeated Thursday! Every seem to click! Sometimes I do think we need a short break to reset everything!

Well done fabulous effort!
