Managed to get out of the house for a run today and completed week 7 - little later than expected thanks to Davina Bloody McCall... sister talked me into trying her workout DVD and NOBODY in the world needs to do that many squats and lunges! Still, today I could move my legs again so I went for it, turns out most of the muscles Ms McCall crippled weren't necessary for running anyway
Slight problem with the cold and rain was the constant nose dripping - easily sorted as I had long sleeves on and hubby has kindly donated that sweatshirt to my running wardrobe now
So, I ran for 25 minutes with no problem... again... and now I'm very excited for week 8... only 6 more runs to graduation!!!

Well done you, I've yet to complete week 2 day 3...keep putting it off!! need to get out again doing the race for life in june and want to run it not walk!! Well done again
Thanks pojboj I found that when I was making excuses, putting all my running gear on made me go out, I felt silly sitting around the house all togged up!
I've just signed up for a 5k with my dad on father's day, a race for life 5k in July and one in August so I have plenty of motivation!
Good for you - doesn't 25 minutes go by fast in comparison with the first five minute run? was blissfully unaware of the existence of Davina until you posted and will ignore her stoically. Running is enough for me - I could be convinced to try a Crunch or two, but only if I get the last piece.
I will adopt your technique to steal my husband's clothing - all you have to do is wipe your nose on it, right?
ignoring Davina is definitely the best option, I wasn't a fan of hers to start off with but now I actively dislike the woman!
The nose-wipe method for clothes stealing is a godsend as I can't find (cheap) sweatshirts long enough to cover my bum and hubby has lots of huge hoodies that do the job nicely - of course I'll have to start wiping my nose on his t-shirts once the weather warms up!
