Hello all

I don't know how but I have only gone and run for 20 minutes!!!!! in total for 30 mins my distance covered was 1.46 miles, slowed my run down to 3mph and tried to get in to a rhythm and finished it.

Yes! Well done! W5R3 is the first real biggy - and the kick you get out of finishing it is just amazing. Roll on week 6!

at about the 6 min mark my legs started to tighten and a build-up of lactic acid, but I pushed through it, so unlike me!

Thank you all for your encouragement.

Really well done Stephen. This is the biggie in the programme but you did it! You should feel very proud. Now, take it easy on the next run as it can be a little tricky. Just run very slowly and listen to Laura and you'll be fine.

Enjoy your celebration tonight. Bet you'll still be smiling tomorrow!

good effort and well done, keep doing what you are doing you'll never look back.

Well done sir! The answer to your question is real simple. You did it because you've stuck at the programme, listened to Laura and put in the effort. Well done, you just completed one of the most challenging runs in the whole programme. It's challenging, not because of the physical effort required, but because of the mental challenge. Having complete the best part of 5weeks of runs you were always physically ready. Today you added some mental steel. Don't forget it because you will need it going forward.

Congratulations - more great runs to come!
