Please share my celebration. One million meters!! Large pieces of Easter Egg all round.
I've been using Nike+ to track my running for a number of years. First, I had an iPod with a plug-in receiver for Nike+ footpod, then I got my yellow Nike gps SportWatch (which died late last summer) and finally a replacement blue SportWatch. During this time, I've had periods of running (a few months) and then I'd get disheartened and give up.
It is less than a year since I decided to run 'properly' and stumbled over C25K. I gradually built up my running, and bought my Nike Air Pegasus 30 shoes in July (they've now run 444km) . Tonight, after getting back from my 8km run up the hill and back, Nike+ told me I'd run a total of 1,003km - that is over ONE MILLION meters . Apart from a couple of months on IC, I've been running regularly since starting C25k.
Anyone new to C25K - this program really, really works. It got this 'occasional' middle-aged runner to 'regular' runner who's completed 500km in less than a year.
Enjoy your running everyone!

As an aside, I have been testing my Nike+ watch (given to me as a birthday present by my lovely daughter last week). It is a wonderfully simple bit of kit but I have found that it consistently overstates the distance/pace in the first 300-400 metres of a run (albeit much reduced if I use the footpod and GPS together). Do you have the same issue?
Yes, I know what you mean. I've got into the habit of syncing my watch with my mac just before a run - there are no runs to upload, but the app says 'downloading satellite data'. It will then get a very fast lock - about 10 seconds - as soon as I step outside the door.
If I don't do that, for some reason it takes a while to get a lock (like, 5 minutes), and sometimes I get fed up and start running with the 'QuickStart' function (ie just the footpod). This is never very accurate, compared to starting with both the footpod and gps working.
You are right, though. It is a very simple watch to live with, and I like having pace displayed when I run (and normally time, distance or elapsed time on the stat loop).
