first things first cambourne was great run yesterday but a little windy nearly missed the bus then got to race got race put bib on hit the loos ,while waiting in line looking at shoes i noticed everybody had a small disc on there shoes (last year chip in bib} s##t i thought there bloody chips omg omg alarm bells are ringing now have pee back to reg tent sorry been a idiot next stop race hq new bib and 2 mins to kick off just made to start and straight off no problems running just this bloody head cold ive had since friday and a nose running like a guinness tap on st patrick s day back to race run the first half fast and chilled out and give my legs rest sprint finish job done collapse try not be sick recover ah pub ,really enjoyed the race smaller local ones much more friendly see some the same faces must do more i think
all i got do now is defeat this headcold and run manchester here's my splits from yesterday

Well done moger, I was there too, nowhere near as fast as you though! It was a great day, my first 10k in the bag! I forgot to give my chip thingy back, didn't realise til I got home.... Ah well π. Keen to do another one though.
thanks Madge50 glad you enjoyed it and well done on your first 10k it was a bit windy out there and at least i knew those hill were coming up but a very good local race ,theres loads of nice races around this way my next 2 races are manchester then bupa 10000 10k in london but you have histon half in june
Thanks moger, I've gone for the Fengallop 10k in June, although I won't be 'galloping' that's for sure, and the cambridge race for life 5k also in June. There is another 10k at Bourn in September, that I'm looking at and the Bonfire burn in November. That first 10k was such a buzz, would certainly do Cambourne again.
