Week 7 it's good to see you again!

Well it's been an up and down few weeks. First I finished week 6 for the first time in a year. Did the first run of week 7 and went down to the canal since it was a) 25 minutes, and b) the canal path was reasonably dry for the first time in months! But then I got one of those not-quite-flu bugs that wiped me out for a few days and left me feeling a bit weak and shaky. So I went out on a fifteen minute run just to see how it was. Hmm, ok but definitely couldn't do 25 minutes. So I started back on week 6 and that was ok, and each run felt better than the last.

So finally here I am back on week 7, two down and run 3 still to go.

And that is one run further than I got last year when I was attacked by a bed leg and had to go straight onto the injury couch! Yay!

I'm off to Lisbon for a few days and I'm packing my running shoes. If you've spent any time on the IC you'll understand how excited I am about that😁

Oh yes grumps, I know that feeling well! Last holiday was a complete wipe out following a fall. Now that I am back to 10 miles I can ‘t wait to do some holiday running in June/July.

Hope everything goes well and it is all ladders and no snakes from here onward! 👍

Great comeback!!! Enjoy your runs in Lisbon! My holiday runs were in a rainy and cold Cornwall! LOL.

Aw. I love Cornwall but we were desperate for some sun. Typical then to be driving to the airport in blazing sunshine 🙄

Glad that you are now injury free and well done grumps on that 25 minute run of week 7 running along the canal bank, that photo is very like the place/canal that I ran 5K just yesterday but I don't think that it is, well done, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 7 and graduating from C25K in around 2 weeks. 😊 🏃🏾,✔️

oh yes I do understand, having only just completed C25k again and finally run 5k for the first time since last July. Then I went out today and struggled to do 20 mins.

But then I have been doing some intensive gardening for my friend and heaving loads of heavy compost bags around for her…. and her garden slopes quite a lot too 😬.

I keep moaning to my daughter “ I’m so slow!! I am struggling !” And she just says “Mum you are 6 years older than when you started, you had a major op, and you are nearly 71 for goodness sake!! “. Well I dont need reminders of how old I am thank you very much!!! But yes, she’s right!! 😢

Still young at heart.

Yes, it's frustrating, I agree. But it sounds like you are doing really well all things considering! Ps I've got a sloping garden. Shifting compost around is a pain the - well, just about everywhere! 😂

I live down in the south of England Al, so it won't be the same one. It was lovely though.
