hello all sorry not posted but had a bit of a post royal parks race come down took part in a local 10k at histon yesterday chucked it down with rain from start to finish but didnt stop 900 of us having a great time talked to a few people and got called a elite runner in a of the cuff remark the race was fast all on road apart from a mile of bridal way very wet and muddy heres my splits for the race mile 1 6;49 min mile
mile 2 7;07 had wee stop
mile 3 7;07
mile 4 7;08
mile 5 6;59
mile 6 7;05
finished in 43;59 old time was 44;55 and that was in may new 5k pb as well 21;50 from mile 2 i ran with a couple and had a chat with them till mile 5 dont talked to people at most races just the odd hello and good luck swapped numbers at the end because they run for a local club any way crossed the line had a mo to get some air back in my lung s and picked up my bling booked a few more races for next year here they are london winter run 10k then its cambridge half (alzheimers) then were off to manchester marathon in april next bupa 10000 london in may i will be running for mind then its british 10k in july there maybe a few more histon half royal parks for those near cambridge theres a 10 mile race in bourn in early dec and a 10 mile in buntingford 28th of dec run off that xmas dinner im still only running 3 days a week so far so good quit a busy year for me now lets see how far we can go with this have faith in your running and dont give in and make sure you enjoy it happy running allxx

thanks curlygurly just booked up hackney half now seem to have gone race mad ive been doing the town loop for the last 3weeks now i see dr pixie from chan 4 last week along the river behind tescos doing her morning run ,when my runs get longer be heading coton mad way and looping to grantchester keep running and all the best dont for get buntingford 28th dec
10 miles? I'm nowhere near that! You will have to run it TWICE - once for me!
I often run down by Tescos too, I love that route! Not sure how to get to Grantchester, must look it up..
