Well I've gone and done it, made that purchase. Sort of by accident, but I had promised myself some "proper" running shoes once I'd graduated, just not got round to it yet.
After my first Park Run, oo that sounds good, my shoes were just a bit muddy. While I was scraping all the mud off I found the heels were really worn down with a small "bleb" appearing on one shoe so I really had to get organised and as I'm on hols this week of I went to my nearest running shop in Lincoln.
I went dressed for running, after reading McFitty 's post I wasn't going to be caught out in the shop window!!
Now on week 1 I would have died at when the very nice lad in the shop said "Do you want to run up the road outside to try them" It wasn't till later that I thought OMG what have I done!! running up the High Street in Lincoln I must have been mad. But then the new me kicked in and I thought well I'm a runner now so why not!!
I must have tried 7 or 8 pairs on and didn't really like the look of these to start with, but I went back to them several times, they're so comfy. The other pair that I did like were just too white. I haven't been out in them yet, I was going last night but had an injection in my shoulder which turned to agony after a couple of hours so I went to bed instead.
I'll let you know how I get on soon
