Earned the first MEDAL of life FOR 5km race

Official first 5 km race of my life @#Jalna

wow

Broke my own record of 36.40 to 31.54 -

Started the race at morning 6.30am with a company of slight rain ! Enjoyed the run with approx 600-700 runners taking part from all age groups

Now this is something I call as an achievement

But still a long way to go

Ultimate goal for me :-

Half marathon - 21.2 km on 30 August 2015 @ HYDERABAD

Keep going

Keep running

PV

Wowsers! Well done that man. Getting your first running medal is ace isn't it. Hold onto that feeling

A half marathon! No sweat. LOL

You will need a training plan for it.

Congratulations that man - what a brilliant achievement. It's amazing isn't it this running - requires no equipment except some ground below us, costs next to nothing and yet can bring such tremendous satisfaction. I hope you look forward to many medals more :)

Virani I would check out a plan for yourself so you know what you should be doing

You can download a free plan from myasics. Just answer the few questions and then whether you want to train 2,3,4 days a week and tick that you are a new runner and it will come up with a plan for you. It asks your age and what race results you have. If you've done a parkrun you can use that time. It will be enough info to base a HM time on

The plans are interactive. You do the run as laid out for you and then you input the result when you've done it. They keep a track of your progress, which you get to see of course, and then they tweak it if they think it's needed, eg if you are going to fast or too slow.

I think it's a good tool and it's free
