Week 1 done!

Only 3 (small) runs in but already starting to feel better for it - running bit isn't getting any easier but recovery feels quicker; breathing back under control before next run

Hope I still feel this way by end of week 2

That sounds very good! The rest day to recover is when your body does its best work!

Keep running slowly, taking things gently, listen to Laura, do what she says and you'll get through just fine. The key is to keep things slow. Your body will thank you

Found myself thinking about running on a rest day today but headed your advice and stuck to the plan - tomorrow will come soon enough after all

I noticed the same thing - the recovery time gets better. The running obviously gets better as well, but it wasn't as noticeable as the recovery. Good work!

Sounds like a good start :-) It is surprising how quickly the body starts to get accustomed to any new exercise. As everyone says... keep to the plan, listen to Laura and take your rest days and you'll be fine. :-)

Stick to the programme and you will amaze yourself! Sorry – I’m a recent graduate and a little evangelical. Don’t worry if it doesn’t feel too easy. I’m sure you wouldn’t improve your fitness so quickly if it was. The point is you have completed week 1. The steps are carefully worked out so week 2 is doable too and on it goes! Keep it slow and steady. Happy running! :)
