So I finished week 1 yesterday and I'm looking forward to the start of week 2 tomorrow :) does anyone else feel a bit board on their days off lol? I'm really surprised at how much I love running already :)

Well done, not bored but we do talk about our next run, where we will go whether it will be a long run or a short one, shall we try and speed up or not?

We have started yoga too and do that on rest days

Well done. Don't overdo it.

I don't get bored - I play badminton, swim and belong to a gym, but I know what you mean.

Thanks, I wont over do it. I know rest days are important for growth and recovery, I just need to fill them with something low impact maybe. Not sure what yet

Swimming is great. I did start doing yoga, but it hasn't survived the new year.

Well done.

No need to be bored on your rest days.

If you want to be the best runner you can be, then non impact cross training on your rest days will be beneficial.

Well done. I started week 2 this morning. Surprisingly didn't need to keep encouraging myself to finish. I agree about enjoying it more than expected. For me, I think it's because it's a planned programme and people here are so supportive. Might start stretch and flex on my off days next week.

Is there an app for the strengh and flex course?

Not sure. Someone on here will know. I just did a search for "stretch and flex'. It had all the details. TS a five week programme.

Well done HobbitRob, once you've gone through a few weeks you're really going to enjoy the rest days they are sooooo needed to get yourself ready for the next run/next week.

I go for a swim on one of my rest days and have a sauna :-)

Well done. It's the sense of achievement which is so great isn't it. Don't miss your rest days though!

Hi HobbitRob.

Great that you are enjoying it so much and counting the days to your next run. Remember rest is good, but those days are also great for strengthening too. You could try cycling, yoga or pilates. Have a look at the Strength and Flex 5 week course - you can find it by clicking on the 'My hub' tab at the top of your page, then click find a community and type in Strength and Flex. It compliments c25k really well.

I do the NHS Strength and Flex podcasts on my rest days. Really effective - and free 😄

Thinking of giving that a go but I wish there was an app for it
