Just thought I'd pop in and let you all know I just completed my first week! And I know it may sound barmy but I swear I already look and feel fitter (admittedly I have upped the healthy eating and did some exercise outside of C25K too). My face looks thinner and less jowly, my stomach is slightly less rotund, I ended up less out of breath during my final run and honestly felt like I could have gone for longer during some of them this morning.
Honestly cannot believe it, especially after how I felt during my second run. I'm considering going for another "week one" run on Sunday, just to make sure today wasn't a fluke and then I suppose bring on Week 2!
This course, if it continues like this, is actually magic.

Yay! The biggest difference of all will be in your head. You know you can do it now, you're part of the C25K programme and you're part of this community. Well done and keep going!
Brilliant. It is magic. I feel more confident (danger of becoming a running bore). Have just completed Wk9 and was a 65 year old novice. You probably will get tough times but keep going - it works!
Well done I'm just starting and the first run was not easy at all bit I seen a difference even in my last run that I could run slightly (even by a couple of seconds) I hope you keep at it and complete the course good luck 😃
It is magic and if you do combine it with healthier eating and complementary exercises I am sure you will continue to see positive changes in fitness, tone and weight, but don't overdo it, the plan is structured to get you to the end goal of running for 30 minutes non stop, 3 times a week so trust in the plan and you will be there in no time
Well done! And I feel like saying 'snap'. I felt the same after my 3rd run last Thursday. Did my first run of week 2 this morning and happy to say that it went very well. Am sure you'll smash it as well! Keep it up!
