Sick....

Been sick for the past several days and haven't been able to run at all. I expect at least a couple more days of suffering.

The craziest thing though? Running is in the forefront of my mind despite feeling under the weather. I'm just itching to get back out there. That running bug bites HARD.

Yep, right there with you! I'm rehab-ing a strained achilles and desperate to get back out there to graduate. I miss it so much I'd even go today if it felt good enough, and it's pouring down outside!

Me too. Got strep throat at the moment and I haven't run in over a week! Need to get the Christmas poundage off too!!!

Oh I sympathise. You could try flicking through some running magazines/books although that might make the itch worse! Get well soon.

That's a great idea. As long as I don't start browsing gear guides or my credit card could suffer.

Me too - had a really bad cold since Monday 22nd. I still haven't stoppped coughing and spluttering, and to cap it all, fell over on Sunday morning while walking the dog and have pulled so many muscles I can hardly walk. If I get out there next Monday as I hope, it will have been three whole weeks on the couch. Where do I start back to be sensible? I'm thinking Week 6.....

I did w5r3 yesterday after a 2 week layoff due to travel and sickness. It was just what I needed.

I just got back running on Tuesday at wk6 after 3 weeks off with a recurring chest infection. My doctor said it could take 6-8 weeks to get fully well again but oked me to run this week as I missed it so much!!

I never would have thought two months ago that I would rather go out and run in the rain and the mud than lie in bed with a good excuse!

It does bite very hard ;)

Six to eight weeks? Yikes. I'm complaining at 5 days - i must be a wimp. Hope you're feeling better. And it's great to hear the running bug has caught you hard as well.
