Sick week 2: Was due to do w2r3 today but have... - Couch to 5K
Sick week 2
Hope you feel better soon. Take the time you need to recover...
... and breathe... Poor you. i loathe sore throats...horrid.
Let those antibiotics work.. they can knock you.... make sure you feel better before you head out. Loads of soup and plenty of liquids...
If you feel rough, then walk away...time to run another day.
Feel better soon :)x
Thanks for that want to get out tomorrow even for a walk and fresh air !!!
Go steady and recover!
Take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon
Oh the sick couch is rubbish isn't it. I was unwell all last week so it ended up being 12 days since I had run when I eventually went out. I enjoyed a good run yesterday although ache a little today. I was worried I would have gone back a few weeks but it really wasn't any different from where I left off. The important bit is to get better and not prolong the illness. Take the rest needed, shop for some running gear or plan some new routes ready to get out there again.
Wasn't out today feel a little better tonight going to park tomorrow and gona try and do a run , if I don't feel great I'll just have a walk , 3rd day antibiotics fresh air will do me good , some new running gear in transit😅
Good to hear you are feeling a bit better. Being on the sick couch gets a bit expensive in my experience but new gear is a great motivator!
Well all , I did go today although my throat was a bit sore god it felt good to be out ....... I didn't repeat a run so week 2 is completed and felt comfortable overall .
I passed somebody out admittedly he was over 70, (Christmas card grandad type) and on my cool down he gave me a pat on the shoulder and said good work when he passed me to continue his run, if I see him again I'll do opposite way it would do your heart good to meet him on a walk/run .
For any Irish out there lidl have running gear in tomorrow , although I've got better value on sportsdirect online. Looking for waterproof running jacket any suggestions something light
TIA
