Same here, minus the puking. All I've done is lie around eating, so I feel like a big blob. Can't run as I am super wobbly and weak. Dull dull dull. Roll on spring and restored health. Hope you feel better soon x
Rule seems to be above the neck - running is fine, below the neck - don't! Not what you want to hear but better in the long term. Maybe try walking fast and see how you feel?
You poor thing, that sounds grim. Give it another day or two then maybe have a go, take it easy, just run for 10 min and see how you feel the next day. If it doesn't seem to have done any harm, try a regular run.
Hi, just looking at your past post regarding your thyroid problem. Do you think it started after you had a chest infection?
Reason I ask is that my wife who graduated from c25k recently, got a cold with the chest infection, so she didn't run and the infection seemed to clear, and then a few weeks later when running she started coughing and can feel something still hanging about on the chest throat area, thinking it must still be mucus, but it refuses to budge and still making her cough when she starts running, so buggers up the run. She thought enough enough and saw her doctor, who gave her antibiotics and an inhaler to take before she runs, but to little or no affect.
The doc felt her neck and found a swelling and said it is possibly just fatty tissue, but referred her for a scan just to make sure which she has booked for the 28th July. So after seeing your posts just makes wonder if it's a thyroid inflammation. We shall see!
Sorry for the long reply, but am so concerned about this, hope you get some good treatment and are well again soon and running 10km again..😊
I had forgotten all about that but it's a possibility. My doctor noticed the swelling in my neck although I didn't. It is more noticeable when I swallow. My scan was 12 weeks ago and I got a letter saying the nodules/cysts were benign so I will update when I've seen the ENT surgeon on 21st July.
