Week 9 completed

Hi all, I completed week 9 2 days before Christmas and am like a few of the others on here where I'm not able to complete the 5k in that magical 30 minutes. I'm a largish 48 year old male and weigh around 96 to 97 Kg's at present (even after Christmas) but have come down from around 102 when I started. I'm still doing my runs and this morning ran for 32 minutes but again only manage 4.8K. I was really bushed after this too!

Well done on graduating! I did mine today and isn't it lovely! :) You are so close to getting that 5k in 30 mins too. Great stuff! Happy running and hope you get that elusive time soon :D

Congratulations! A great achievement x

Well done for graduating Timbo and that looks like a pretty good time to me too. Everybody says the aim is really to run for 30 minutes anyway, but 0230m isn't quite as catchy as C25K lol! Keep up the fab work and happy running!

Congratulations Timbo! Hope you feel really proud. What a great way to finish the year.

That's a very respectable time at this stage - I expect you will soon whittle away the minutes.

Happy running adventures in 2015

Well done! Get that badge!!!!

Well done, that really is not far off...Get into Parkrun, the competition will push you that extra little bit. (says she, still doing 5k in about 35 mins on a good day !!) Congratulations and happy running.

Congratulations on graduating Tim :D it is great isn't it :D dont worry about the 5k in 30mins very very few achieve that at graduation , Just think back to Week1 and how far you have come since then :D :D that is worth celebrating so enjoy the congratulations and how it feels :D :D

Welcome to the world of being a runner :D :D

Well done and it feels great doesn't it? And don't worry about the 5k thing. The goal was to run for 30 minutes and you have exceeded that! The only time you should be comparing with is your own as everyone is different.

Nice one Charliesdad, it feels hell of an achievement doesn't it. I didn't run this morning cos my shins and calfs are giving me a bit of agro now. Good on you too.
