Week 5 Run 3 - nailed it!

I did the infamous run 3 this morning and did it!!

So pleased, really didn't think I would make it. I was struggling against the wind so kept on doubling back, and did the whole thing in my usual 'not much faster than a walk' light trot ...and somehow made it though the last 5 mins to finish it.

I think I made it by the skin of my teeth. I'm not sure whether to go onto week 6 straight away or do this week again. Has anyone else done this?

Feel very pleased with myself though. Praps a little smug!!

Hooray ! Well if you completed it, regardless of whether it was by the skin of your teeth, you ought to be ok to go on and do W6. Be careful though, it looks easier....but it isn't.....'not much faster than a walk' light trot sounds good...

OK...week 6 here I come. The programme is very clever with the old looks easier but it isn't!

I'm liking your not much faster than a walk, light trot...you are right on with that approach!! Well done for persisting in the wind...it's not pleasant. Onwards, I would say...if you nailed it regardless, great tactics there, then I would say you're ready for that week 6! :D

Thanks Tikiczocky...yes I will plough on with week 6. All these positive replies....nothing will stop me now!!

Well done! :-)

I'd give week 6 a go and if you don't get on well then you can go back. But you won't know if you can do it if you don't try :-)

Keep going and congratualtions on this morning's run :-)

Well done - that's a real milestone in the programme. I say move forward to week6. It's back to intervals for the first couple of runs anyway - although surprisingly challenging.

Thanks Ullyrunner, I'm going for it although whichever way you look at it....it's still 20 mins running even with the breaks!

This took me a number of weeks to complete so big well done on finishing it. Have a go at week 6. Just do what you have been doing and see how you go.

Thanks so much for all your positive replies. Sounds like it's week 6 for me then (gulp!)...but relieved to hear it's back to intervals.

Thanks again, guys!

Yes, definitely go for Week 6. All the work you have done so far will hold you in good stead for this one . Just keep it slow and steady , don't panic and keep calm, nice deep breaths :-)

You can do it y'know, you just need that little bit of self belief.

Keep going, youre doing great !

Good Luck ! :-) xxx
