Just finished W1R3!

I'm feeling quite happy with myself and I feel great after running, but I find the week 1 runs hard, and I'm worried maybe I'm not ready for week 2 after 3 runs....Should I try going straight onto week 2 or should I do an extra week 1? Thanks!

If you have managed the runs in week , I say move on to week2 and give it a try. The programme is designed to build you up slowly so each week asks a little bit more - and surprise surprise, you find you have a little bit more to give!

Good luck!

You'll be fine. Week 2 is easier as there are less runs!

Yep... go for it... Week 1 done ! You never tend to finish a week and feel "yes that was easy, what's next".. but at the end of the week you have the immense joy of knowing you are moving forward. If you you're not able to complete any of the runs, then there is no problem doing them again.

I agree with everyone else - your ready for week 2. Andy is right you never finish a week thinking that was easy. You only need to repeat a run if you can't finish it but don't worry there is no deadline to finish in 9 weeks - it took me 7 months with one thing or another. Give it ago and trust Laura and tell yourself that you can do it because you can! :) good luck with week 2.

You should be able to do W2 if you have completed the W1 runs, no matter how hard you found them. You will magically be prepared ! I don't think anyone has found this easy but you do get stronger and able to do a surprising amount more than you thought..Go for it and good luck.

Thanks for the support everyone! I'm planning on doing W2R1 at the weekend so I'll let you all know how it goes. :)

I finished week 1 on Tuesday and felt exactly the same way. I really wasn't sure I'd be able to manage week 2 but I went out last night and gave it a go and it wasn't as bad as I thought. Give it a try I'm sure you can do it!

Just finished it! It was difficult but only as difficult as W1R1 when I did that. And I feel great! Though I'm sure my running pace is the same speed as my brisk walk....

I'd say go with week 2 , if you have done week 1 then you can move onto week 2 :) and well done on completing week 1:)

So I've just finished W2R3! I did it, I'm terrified of W3 but if I managed W2 then I must be ready. :) Thanks for all the support.

Well done Ada! Someone said to me when I was at your stage "only repeat the runs you can't do, not the ones you can" - made sense to me...good luck with the rest of the programme
