That's Week 1 done, 3 runs with a days rest in between each. Tonight's was definitely the best of the three. My lungs have started to give me a little encouragement.
Don't get me wrong this is still very painful on the legs and ankles, I am taking it very carefully to avoid injury, conscious of the nearly 19st weight they are carrying round.
Two days rest with some stretching whilst watching the Masters.
Bring on week 2.
It feels like spring is coming. ⛅️

I was just over 19st when I started (121kg) and I reckon I've got 3/4 years on you but I'm about to start w9 at 113.7kg (think that means there is a 17 at the beginning now!)
It is such a buzz when you do the longer runs and it's totally do able as I hadn't run since school so just under 30 years!!
Take it slow and steady and make sure your hydrated and stretched. You will get into a rhythm soon enough.
Keep it up 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
Well done - getting the first week done and dusted is always a nice achievement. Good luck for W2
Well done Matt-78 ! I think the routine of ‘getting out there’ can be a big support when you’re doing any kind of project - so ‘go you’!! Hope the aches ease. I find Pilates is a big help with joints.
