Cider vinegar is good for the feet. I used to use the stuff I got for my hens, it still had the "mother" floating around in it (the good bit!)

I like Epsom Salts too. It's excellent. Mag sulphate is antiseptic as well as being softening for hard or rough skin. When it's coloured and scented it's sold as "bath salts" I get it in bulk from the allotment shop. I dare say it's less refined than the stuff from Boots but it does the job

I had been thinking about giving cider vinegar to the hens too! What do you use? (for me I use the Aspall organic one but it is a bit too expensive for feet and hens!... )

My local pharmacy sells big buckets of Epsom salts - funnily cheaper than at the garden center :)

Off to soak me feet now !

The stuff for the hens is from the pet store. I got mine from a horsey shop over the road. It's in a gallon container. It's called "rough apple cider vinegar" round here. It's not the refined stuff used for cooking. It's unpasteurised. There are globs of "mother" floating about in it. You dilute it before giving it to the hens. You can buy ACV with "mother" in it for human consumption. I got mine from Ostlers and used to drink it with spring water and a splash of orange juice. It's very good for you, really refreshing.

I love soaking my feet! Mind you as soon as you get your feet in the bowl and settled down with a cuppa or whatever, someone always comes to the door! I keep a kettle full of hot water so I can keep having top ups.

Not a foot soak, but a foot balm, Flexitol, is fantastic for dry skin. I always buy it from Amazon. It heals cracked skin brilliantly. I would highly recommend it

The listerine and vinegar mix in equal parts put in a small travel spray bottle and squirted on toenails and left to dry or wiped on with cottonwool works, I can recommend it. Me and my mum get 'chalky' toenails sometimes and my mum found that it's the only thing that works despite being prescribed all sorts of expensive stuff off the GP.

I don't know what's in Listerine but it works! Folks use it on their sunburned bald heads!

Not me I hasten to add!

Flexitol! Ta I shall have a look at that. I have the driest skin in the world!
