W6R2 bye bye intervals....

Afternoon lovely runners,

Just got back from W6R2 and I feel GRRRRRRRREAT!!! (for those of us old enough to remember Tony the Tiger...)

Admittedly I had two rest days in between W6R1 and W6R2, but today I felt bursting with energy and champing at the bit to run. I heeded the week 6 warnings and paced myself well for the first 10 minutes. The 3 minutes walking felt like a interruption rather than a welcome break and I was very ready for the second half. I didn't want to make a mess of it so I kept steady until 5 minutes to go, then I picked up the pace a little (only a little!) and felt comfortable at the end. In fact I was slightly worried that I'd not put enough effort in until I got back and realised how much I was sweating.

Bring on the non-stop runs! :) :)

Good luck to everyone else, particularly week 6-ers!

"Bring on the non-stop runs" Not a phrase we hear very often hereabouts. LOL

Way to go Atomic! Yay

hah! Some of us are old enough to remember Big Eggo.

Good work. Don't worry about pushing it. There's plenty of time for that later. Just concentrate on building your time. If you can power through W6 without a hitch you are well on track.

Well done atomic... Great achievement ;-) onwards and upwards for W7 R1 ;-)

Well done you! It sounds like you've got that running malarky sorted, and that it's now just a matter of slowly increasing the load until you get to the finishing line. Congrats!

Well done Atomic ... Great running! I only run twice a week anyway and I don't think there's any shame in taking an extra rest day. Good luck for your next run!
