Run 1 completed this morning. Very happy as the pain started around 25 minutes this time as opposed to 20 minutes when doing week 7.
I did change my route slightly which I think helped and tried to make my mind wander but all I could think about was work! And it's a day off!
Anyway, I listened to everyone's sound advice and did it. Feeling slightly more comfortable about Tuesday now although now I have stopped I do look a right state (see attached but please don't be eating at the same time).
Have a good day everyone

You look fine, cheeky chappie, but why aren't you beet red? Most of us are after a run! Congrats on your run, not long now!
Well done, though if I was thinking about work I wouldn't make it through the run! I agree with curlygurly how are u not red. I found out last week, not to wear my pink top, when I run as it clashes with a bright red face!
What better way to spend a Sunday morning. what happened to a nice breakfast, lots of coffee and reading the papers and watching the football, well done, nearly there.
You look like you're about to do something naughty !! Seen yesterday on the back of British Military Fitness T Shirts "Happy pain" (Is there such a thing ? we thought) Was your pain "Happy pain" ?
Well done Herbie! I agree with the others though....you don't look like you've just run for 28 minutes I managed the week 8 run 1 this morning too - only 5 runs til we graduate, yippeeeeee
Well done, Herbster! Rest day for me so I had pancakes, lashings of maple syrup and crispy bacon, cooked and eaten in my sunny garden. Diet and fitness regime starts in earnest tomorrow when my boy goes back to school, so I shall try to emulate your very good example. Week 6 Run 2 for me tomorrow.
It could all go a bit pants, as I have just broken out the Aperol spritz to eeeeek out the last of my holiday booze before midnight when we all turn into boring back to school/work pumpkins. Might be a slightly later start than planned tomorrow ...
