"Keep the bloody noise daaahn moush!" shouted a crow from a tree. He obviously was startled at my 6.30am saunter this morning. I know it's not as early as Miles_Yonder's 3:43am starts, but for me this was early. Owing to the fact that a job has come my way for three weeks (most welcome) and I have to have my scooter parked in Soho by 8.30am (otherwise I don't get my favourite space to park - next to an iron railing !), an early run was the order of the day.
This is my 2nd run this week, although on Tuesday morning at the same time, I was like a zombie on mogodons. Sooooo sleepy. So I just did 3K round the block - just to get the blood flowing. I truly could NOT have done any more, but this morning was different. 5K is the IDEAL distance for half an hour before a hot shower, breakfast, then load up the scoot with Mrs Dan's delicious lunch goodies!
I got THREE "good morning" responses from fellow runners this morning! That's a record for me. Usually people just look at me like I'm some sort of criminal on the run, but this morning was different. The air was fresh and the sun was trying to put his hat on so a perfect outdoor running experience was had.
So with scooter chained and alarmed to it's mooring down on Wardour Street, a cup of tea on it's way to my suite and a 5K in 28'04 under my belt I am ready for the days!
I do so hope you all have a splendid day!

I was dog walking yesterday and a small gaggle of folks had gathered to watch the antics of a seagull on the roof of a building. It was obviously very distressed and was cawing frantically and dive-bombing something which none of us could see. It was going crazy poor thing. Never cross a seagull would be my advice. It'll have yer!
Anyway, where were we? Glad you had a lovely run Dan. I hope you managed bag your fave parking railing and enjoy your lunch pail goodies. You are very lucky to have such a good Mrs Dan to provide you with such feasts
Great post, many thanks. It is a wonderful start to the day, isn't it? I hope there doesn't come a time when it all starts getting mundane and boring. I am glad your scooter is fastened and alarmed btw, have a good day
Day- Z- so pleased you are still up and running. Just returned to site - after a summer's absence. Looking to more entertaining post form you
Brilliant write up... what a way to start the day indeed! There's a lovely Malaysian restaurant just off Wardour Street down an alleyway if you're tempted for lunch... I work off Haymarket and having spent some time in SE Asia it's one of my favourites...
We even work close to each other Dan - we are sure to run into each other soon! Hopefully not literally!
Glad I found this lurking on page 2 already - missing your constant banter of whats going on. Glad Beverley v3 can be locked to some railings this time!! Well done for such a light hearted post to inspire us to just do a little run
