Whoop! The runner in me was back!

My very first early morning run before work today! And it was wonderful!

I woke at like 5am. Half slept until 6am and decided I might as well get up and go for my run!

Combine the crisp frosty air, breathe billowing in misty smoke, the soft glow of the morning sun beginning to rise.. it was beautiful! And my body loved the coldness! Just how it was when running through December and January! I still get a bit hot but it's welcome against the cold and my body seems to function so much better. Every breath of cold air seems to fuel the lungs and power the legs so different from the afternoon run in the sun, where each breath just dries an already thirsty throat.

I even sprinted my fastest on the return, giving it all I had and felt like a true runner again!

I think morning runs are definitely for me!

In summer I always wake at 6am when I want to sleep in until 7am! Even if I go bed later, black out the window I wake too early this time of year! Might as well put it to good use!

Amazing well done I did the same went out at 6 and felt so much better!
