A fond farewell....

A few weeks ago I posted about my struggles with week 8 which I thought were down to a tummy bug. Turns out I have acute hepatitis and have been in hospital last 2 weeks. Despite lots of tests and liver biopsy (ouch!) they still don't know cause. The money seems to be on autoimmune hepatitis though which is a genetic condition. It's gonna be a while before I'm fit enough for a gentle stroll never mind a run so with a heavy heart I'm putting my running gear into storage for now. Hopefully in the not too distant future I'll restart c25k and eventually graduate.

Until then, best wishes to you all and happy running!! Xx

Oh no poor you! My SiL has this, and has rallied well over the last few years, though she has to take steroids and has put on a lot of weight. That being said, she does no exercise at all and cooks and eats the most amazing rich food and drinks like a flippin' fish, so I think that's the reason rather than the steroids! Get well as fast as you can and when you feel fit enough you can start from the beginning again. :)

Speedy recovery and I hope they get to the bottom of things very soon. I also found I had an under lying health issue when I started to learn to run and had to put it on a back burner. For me it took me three years to feel ready again ( not that that will be the same for you) I have always thought that running helped me undestand I wasent well and it might of taken me years to realise my body was under pressure before I took up learning to run. I have always thought of the break as a life saver rather than a negative thing. Looking forward to welcoming you back On Your journey when you are ready.
