Farewell week 3, you've been a blast!

Well, just finished my final run of week 3. What a wonderful feeling! I've really enjoyed the step up in running times this week. Today, I did my run and then stayed on the treadmill for another 40 minutes just doing intervals of walking and three minute runs. Finished off with some planking and stretches so feeling on top of the world! I also upped my water intake this week as suggested (thanks lovely forum members!) And in the space of two days have managed to lose 4lbs, so my weight gain issue seems to have been water retention! Looking forward to starting week 4 on Monday! Have a great Friday everyone! πŸ’–

I found the first runs the hardest, its amazing how far you come in such a short space of time! Keep at it, I'm sure you will love it. I cant believe I'm going on to week 4 already, its gone so quickly. Well done on getting started 😁

Great you've completed wk3. Try to stick to the plan as doing extra or too much can set you up for an injury and put you out of running for a while. Well done you 😊

Thank you :) I'm just adding extra on the end instead of my other workouts just so I'm exercising for the same amount of time as I usually did before I started couch 2 5k :) I'm making sure to get in my rest days which have helped so much πŸ˜€

Other workouts will be better than running as it's high impact 😊

As others have said get off the treadmill when you finish the run. Excitement at our progress makes us over ambitious and that leads to injury(speaking from experience!) Sounds like you're doing great

Thanks a lot :) definitely don't want to injure myself! I think I'm just enjoying myself so much that I don't want to stop so I just carry on πŸ™ˆ Would a good pace walk for half an hour be ok after the run has finished do you think?
