Well my shiny new harnesses came yesterday so running kit on; I fitted mine and then Lulah's (she looked very smart :) ) and attached the bungee line - kitted myself up with a few things (Just in case) and set off for my first run with my dog. She did ok although after years off making her walk next to me she didn't quite get that I now want her to pull! We got to the last 3 min run when another couple of dogs came to investigate Lulah's attire and I pulled off my headset talking to the other owners, I had just about got to the end of the run as Laura had gave me the 2 mins up notice at the other end of the field. We'll try again on Monday for R3 :)

Well done. I've took my boxer out running a couple of times but it just made the workout harder. Might have to invest in a running harness. Off to a dog show tomorrow I'll see I can get one ;-)

Well done! I bet that was great. I hope your dog will trot along with you and not pull you all over the shop, as they are wont to do at times

Lulah is not one to pull and is not really interested in anything other than rabbit droppings so the run went ok until the other dogs came to her which didn't happen til my last run toward the end - next run Monday

I guess I'm about a week behind you (did W2R2 yesterday)...really enjoying the running and have been looking into canicross today, as my dog (a German Shorthaired Pointer...a leggy girl who can already run for miles without me) always looks really disappointed when I'm about to leave the house without her :(.

Which lead & harness set did you go for? I live in the countryside, mainly road running with no pavements at the moment, so a lead is essential, but I don't want one in my hand and I'm really keen to get her out with me while I'm in the early stages.
