Mornin' grannyjudes ..... sounds painful .... sorry to hear you're suffering this morning .... can't think that going out on slippy pavements will be a good idea .... cup of tea and a really good sneeze to release your strung up back?
It's horrible when your back goes ... worse thing is if you need to wear socks - how do we normally get our socks on without even thinking about it and then, all of a sudden, our feet are so far away from our hands we have to go in flipflops???
You take care of yourself, take lots of painkillers and stuff and you'll soon be feeling fine and dandy again
I feel your pain granny! Good idea to have a good wallow, prop yourself up in the shade and get a good book to read. No point doing further injury by attempting a run.
Sorry you're fed up. I spend my running time wondering why I do it to myself and not enjoying it, but when I can't go for some reason I get really frustrated! It's definitely a love-hate relationship! Best for you to take your time and rest before going out again. Frustrating I know but you don't want to overdo it and find that you can't run for weeks
Sorry to hear about your back, it's such a pain (excuse pun), but really when you injure your back it affects everything you do. A physio told me once, when I was having problems with lower back pain, that walking is very good for your back health.....so maybe a gentle walk later......if it cools down.....may help.
Oh dear ! Hope it gets better soon. It's so frustrating not being able to run BUT you have to be properly better to start again otherwise you will just do more damage. Be careful and have a lovely weekend.
Buckets of sympathy GJ... Take it easy and don't be tempted to over do it too early, bad backs can be niggly persistent things. enjoy the sunshine, maybe do some arm training with those tins of soup in the cupboard for now....and try walking or swimming before throwing yourself back into 5K run?
Bad luck GJ, back ache is horrible. I'll shove up and make room on the injury couch. We'll share a box of KittyKat's Maltezers and knock back a couple of glasses of dandelion and burdock
There's a good easy stretch I do when I get a niggly back it does the trick for me, try it if you can ,it's on health unlocked . Hope your not long before your up & running again
thank you lovely people, always somebody here to share your pain, rockette I will take a look at the stretch, Lettiree, never thought of tiger balm good idea and AM I will need something very strong I am thinking but maltesers a good start
