....by five pounds...since started running two weeks ago I've lost five pounds. My appetite has decreased and I feel wonderful. No sleepiness after an evening meal, lots of energy and I'm already looking forward to each run....

That's fantastic! I have been losing weight for 18 months now but have hardly lost anything since starting running! Funny isn't it! I'm sleeping better though thinking about it! :-)

hmm....I have changed my diet and I do have a lot of weight to loose! I cut out bread and gave gone as gluten free as I can, and I feel lighter inside - if that makes sense.

Good luck with the weight loss xx it can be done! Like running, slow and steady is best! In the past 18 months I have lost 5 1/2 stones. I'd like to lose 1 more - I'll get there one day I know! Don't go too gluten free if you don't need to! I just made small changes here and there in my life that are easy to live with! Don't make it difficult for yourself! I lost a lot of my weight before I dared to exercise. For me the weight loss eased my spinal problem, in turn that made it easier for me to exercise, build my core strength and now run! Xx Good luck xx

Well done! Running combined with a healthy diet will get you where you want to be - weight wise and health wise

I make my own bread and find that it's factory-made bread that causes all the bloating problems associated with bread. It gives bread a bad press, quite wrongly in my opinion. Bread is healthy if you make it yourself as you determine what goes in it. So don't feel you have to give it up to lose weight.

Running is really good news all round. Keep at it Perks!

Why thank you. I haven't given bread up entirely because I do crave it sometimes i.e. pizza etc and I have made my own including spelt bread. I'm finding gluten free works for me and the occasional treat of 'ordinary bread' i.e. not shop bought but homemade or restaurant-made is good too. I buy Italian gluten free pasta and you can't tell the difference from the usual. I don't get any bloated feeling with it either.

I love spelt! I use it a lot and I think it's less glutinous. Easier to make bread with as it comes together very quickly. It has taste too! Fancy that. It makes good cakes too, but let's not go there. LOL
