Newbie here - went and got my gait analysed on Monday, got myself some running shoes and I was off! Just done week 1 day 2 and so far so good - actually found it easier than day 1 which surprised me (I'm using a slightly different app to the NHS one so today included eight 1 minute runs rather than the six from day 1) but it was a breeze really. Well - ish
I'm also using Runkeeper and I listen to music to keep me motivated.
Anyway, great forum which I'm enjoying using, just thought I'd say hi

Hi. Good to know someone else is at the beginning of this too. Really hoping this forum will be a source of encouragement. I have a friend who is a professional (elite) runner and I have massive respect for her, and the things you say (gait, proper running shoes, music, runkeeper) all sound well professional, like things an elite runner would be worrying about! Sounds like you know what you're doing, and off to an excellent start!!
