First proper run after 2weeks on the injury couch :)

Didn't suffer any ill effects after Tuesday's cheeky runnette so decided to test things a bit further today and try a little 20 minuter. 'Twas wonderful and comfortable (no coughing my lungs up and no dodgy knees) and very enjoyable. I've lost some fitness from sitting around on KittyKat's injury couch knocking back the Maltezers and Tizer but not as much as I thought. Now just need to build back up to 5k, then decide what comes next -obviously not a Miles_Yonder HM special but need to get my thinking cap on :)

  • Sorry to abandon you, what with your duff legs giving you gyp an' all, but you've got to admit, there's a lot more room now I've shifted by Epic backside! :)

Mind you, I left before I realised you were having an assignation with Mr Cadbury. *thinks, did I leave too soon? * :)

How much longer are you going to confined to barracks?

  • Congratulations on getting back to 20 minutes, sounds like you're doing well. Enjoy your running

  • Cheers m'dear :)

  • Yay, well done GM! That's brilliant news! So glad you've been able to get out for a longer run. :-) Bet you were relieved about it too!

Hmmmm, what to do next? I hope you don't have a Sunday meltdown like I did trying to fathom it out! :-)

  • Ha ha, Oh M_Y you have made me laugh :) :) The chances of me having a Sunday meltdown because I can't decide on a half marathon programme are ZERO! I've got to find another 17 minutes just to get back to where I was 2 weeks ago :) as long as I get some hill practice in before November I'll be happy :)

  • Lol - I hid a stash of sherbet dib dabs under the cushion. I'll be back!!

  • So glad you're back out there - and not having to go back to the beginning. I think that wouldbe very hard to bear...
