2.8km in 25 minutes, on week 7, run 3. Pretty pleased but wish I could increase my distance a bit . Souldn't whinge tho, seeing as Im ancient and 6 weeks ago could hardly run for 60 secs. Very pleased I managed to get a run in at all today, I have had my 4 year old grand daughter today and so needed to get out there, what is that all about !!
Addicted I think !: 2.8km in 25 minutes, on week... - Couch to 5K
Addicted I think !
I think you should be very pleased! The fact that you can run for 25 minutes non stop is amazing and a massive achievement - as you say, at the beginning of the programme you could barely do 60 seconds. Distance and speed will undoubtedly come with time, for now just gloat about the progress you have made
Aw GrannyJudes , bless you, you are doing so well ! You've come so far , well done and all the best for your future runs xxx
You are doing great, the increase in distance will come. As you have said yourself, look what you can do now compared to 6 weeks ago. And, you are enjoying yourself, that's the main thing x
I think you're amazing, 25 minutes of running is serious progress, I should think you were exhausted before you started running round after a 4 yr old !!
You're doing brilliantly! That's amazing progress; try not to worry about distance, as already you've come such a long way, and will continue to do so too! Well done so far; good luck for week eight! W8 is my favourite of the programme; hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Thank you so much everyone, support here is marvellous
Well done there are people half your age who can't /won't run for a bus! amd are not prepared to give it a go people love to tell you they can't run
Brilliant, not many 4 year olds have a granny who is a runner!!
Us oldies have gotta stick together GrannyJudes!! I have been "resting" a little this week - that long bushwalk last Saturday absolutely killed my calf muscles but I think I can get back on the saddle tomorrow. If ever I don't feel right , I just revert back to W1R1 ratios for a run - usually clears the cobwebs out and I can later start non-stop running again.
Do you know I really really didnt know I was doing this well, I knew I was improving of course, but you have all made me feel so good and as if I really am doing well, thank you so much, such a confidence boost, I feel right chuffed now, and ready to tackle week 8, and when I run my 5k race for life in honour of my 25 year old grand daughter who is fighting cancer I feel I can do her justice and make her proud x
Me again. If you are running 5k in Race For Life, you'll probably have a Just Giving page or some other fundraising activity. As you are doing all the hard work in honour of your grand-daughter, I'd like to sponsor you. Great cause, fabulous motivation and best wishes to you & your granddaughter.
