I think I am addicted

I wouldn’t normally leap out of bed at 5:30am when on holiday but this morning I couldn’t wait to get out for a run. This was my first run since Saturday due to spending much of Sunday and Monday on a flight to Australia. It was so lovely to run in the sunshine and as you can see from the photo the view was not too shabby. Now I have to find a nice flat Aussie Parkrun course!

Oh wow, I can see why you got up at 5.30am! Savour every second! :)

It did have something to do with my sleep pattern not having adjusted yet plus the Melbourne area is having a heatwave so early morning is the only time to run. However the view does help.

Lucky you! What a gorgeous scenery... Run for us, poor northerners running in rain and snow.

By the dreaded jingo, I wouldn't mind having a trot round there with you!

We are actually in Apollo Bay along the Great Ocean Road but will be back near Melbourne next week. I’m guessing you are familiar with the “4 seasons in 1 day” nature of Melbourne’s climate!

Yeah. Lived in Eastern suburbs of Melbourne for 27 years and have children and grandchildren living all over Australia.

Isn't Apollo Bay lovely. I did a 5 day walk round Great Ocean Road a few years ago (before I was a runner lol) and it was amazing. I am in Tasmania and it is also unusually hot here for this time of year - went for a run about 7pm Tuesday and it was still 26 degrees. Enjoy your holiday!

I loved running/walking when I was in Australia in the summer for 3 weeks. My best ever run (not in terms of pace or distance but location) was round the harbour in Sydney at sunrise with bridge and opera house as my background! Truly a run I will always remember! Looks a wonderful place to run and the weather looks fantastic as well! Enjoy your holiday xx
