Am I missing something? I cannot find any music that I can run to
For example, could anybody run to this ? youtube.com/watch?v=i6PHm9j... By my count it is 128 beats per minute - that is walking speed or a good beat to walk to.
You couldn't double it as then you would be trying to run at 256 beats per minute.

Hahaha! I think there are two separate criteria here: motivating/inspirational music, and music which has a beat you can run with (as per C25K+). Sounds like you're looking for music which fits both, Baz. Have you tried the jog fm website? You can search songs by bpm there, then sort by genre etc depending on what your bag is. Looking forward to hearing what your playlist is in the end, Baz!
Have you tired Podrunner? Steve has created 100s of dance tune mixes going from 120bpm to 185bpm, plus 100s of intervals mixes. I'm not really into dance music, but I use some of his podcasts occasionally. But I admit, in all but short 60-120 second intervals training sessions, I usually drift off into day-dreams no matter what is playing!
Getting ideas from jogfm, downloadiing free podcasts from Podrunner, buying 2 albums from Audiofuel and converting some of my rock music from CDs has provided me with enough running music for the past two years.
Hi swanscot! So glad you mentioned Podrunner.....I've just downloaded Cruise Control....if it does what it says on the tin it'll be awesome! Will be trying it out tomorrow....
Hi and no that would drive me mad!! I always choose music I would dance to, some fast some not so fast to aid with pace and stamina. Music we love is uplifting and spurs me on always. Good luck Bazza - new pic is showing a very healthy you!
You run to the rhythm of your own count then Baz. I do! Just like Laura says, one, two, three, four , one two three blah blah
Ah Puccini. "Your tiny hand is frozen, tra la la" Oops wrong un. I think that's sommat else. Erm La Boheme praps
If you like opera there's bound to be something. What about Bizet's Beat out that Rhythm on a Drum. That might work. First one off the top of my head. I'll get my thinking cap on
I have just figured out how to change the tempo of MP3's.- using the audio editor programme called Audacity. It works quite well. The biggest problem I have had is not so much with the music itself - but with the tempo/BPM of it. Most that is supposedly good for running seems far too slow to me - that was why I abandoned Laura very early on. I have also noticed that PODRUNNER has two Podcast running programmes ( 8K and 10K) djsteveboy.com/intervals.html to match training by Jenny Hadfield jennyhadfield.com/
