I just ran over 3 miles in 27 minutes and completed over 5k in 28 minutes with the walks my total for this session was 4 miles. I can't quite believe it that my target is in sight. Must have been the curry and cobras from last night. I felt pretty poor at the start but now the sun is shining and I am feeling great. Happy running

Sounds like a great run and you are getting near the end of the programme, well done! It's great when you see your goal getting closer and closer isn't it? Quite a few people have said that a hangover has not impacted adversely on their running...not that I am advocating that, especially on an nhs site
Now there's a funny thing. Although I wouldn't recommend it, my best times for both 5 and 10k were both set on the morning after a couple of beers the night before. I also find running to be an excellent hangover cure. Once I get past about 3k, my body has too many other things to worry about and seems to forget about the hangover altogether.
Good run by the way!
Thanks I can't understand it either - maybe I just didn't expect too much and the head gremlins were still sleeping it off!
