Week 8 to week 9, much difference?

Will be completing wk8 this afternoon, both wk8 runs were a bit longer that 28 mins, the last being probably nearer 30 mins. So have you good folks out there found much of a difference between wk8 and wk9 runs, a couple of mins surely can't be that much harder?

No, it's not much of a jump - but just listen to yourself! I bet you thought two minutes running was quite a lot in week one! Enjoy your graduation week.

Not much of a change, though I have found that I'm less inclined to carry on running to the next tree/gate/junction that I was and just wheeze to a stop!

I just looked at my notes for both weeks and I made no comments, just SMILEY FACES. So, head out there for your final runs and enjoy yourself. You're nearly there now. Just take care, slowly does it. No false moves all right!

It's not a huge step up but just remember to pace yourself - you'd be surprised how slow 2 minutes can go by if you've paced yourself for only 28 minutes... :)

Enjoy!

In week 8 I was running for 4.5k with the aim of doing the 5k at the end of week 9. It took much longer than 30 mins so personally I don't think it makes much difference. Listen to your body though and don't overdo it !
