I was up bright and early this morning (7.30am) for my final run of the couch to 5k as I wanted to fit it in before the wind is due to pick up later on (I didnβt fancy running in 43mph winds)!
After my sneaky 5k on run 2 of the week I decided this one would be a slow and steady run that would be comfortable throughout. So, I set off and did just that and Iβm pleased to say that it was a good run, no aches or breathing problems today! It was very quiet out with little traffic on the roads which was lovely, it also felt very autumnal as the last of the leaves were dropping from the trees. For the majority of the route I was running into the wind so there were definitely no records for pace or distance today but I enjoyed the run which is the main thing. βΊοΈ
Honestly canβt believe Iβve managed to complete this as 9 weeks ago running to catch a bus or train would have left me a bit out of breath and yet here I am running for 30 mins without walking or stopping!
Thank you to everyone on this forum for giving advice, offering support and sharing their C25K journeys along the way itβs been a great source of knowledge/experience and a real sense of community which has definitely helped me stay accountable and spurred me on.
But itβs not over! Onwards and upwards to my consolidation runs. Until then, Iβll be celebrating and feeling proud of myself π₯³π plus Iβm going to treat myself to some new trainers.
Have great weekends all!

Keep us posted on the consolidation runs but enjoy your graduation euphoria all weekend ππββοΈπ¦
Iβm still running and (very) gradually getting the teeniest but less slow, most importantly I am still enjoying the runs - well more the feeling of achievement after the runs actually. π
Well done Laura! No no... Well done graduate! πͺπ»πππ» You've done brilliantly and deserve to be very pleased with yourself! Relax now, few cheeky drinks maybe? Then onto consolidation runs next week x
Oh late to the graduation party here..well done LauraRuns!!!!! I hope you are celebrating tonight and you should feel justifiably proud of your achievement. You did it! And sensibly a nice steady run, no rushing out of the starting blocks on your last run of the programme. A lesson for me in my last week! Just think how we all felt on week 1 ..and now here you are a graduate I hope to be joining you very soon, just 2 more runs for me Congrats!!
Thank you so much!! I did indeed have a few drinks last night to celebrate π₯³πΎ
Still feeling proud and ready to start on the consolidation runs this week. Good luck for your remaining run(s) - youβve got this ππΌββοΈβ¨
