I was up bright and early this morning (7.30am) for my final run of the couch to 5k as I wanted to fit it in before the wind is due to pick up later on (I didn’t fancy running in 43mph winds)!
After my sneaky 5k on run 2 of the week I decided this one would be a slow and steady run that would be comfortable throughout. So, I set off and did just that and I’m pleased to say that it was a good run, no aches or breathing problems today! It was very quiet out with little traffic on the roads which was lovely, it also felt very autumnal as the last of the leaves were dropping from the trees. For the majority of the route I was running into the wind so there were definitely no records for pace or distance today but I enjoyed the run which is the main thing. ☺️
Honestly can’t believe I’ve managed to complete this as 9 weeks ago running to catch a bus or train would have left me a bit out of breath and yet here I am running for 30 mins without walking or stopping!
Thank you to everyone on this forum for giving advice, offering support and sharing their C25K journeys along the way it’s been a great source of knowledge/experience and a real sense of community which has definitely helped me stay accountable and spurred me on.
But it’s not over! Onwards and upwards to my consolidation runs. Until then, I’ll be celebrating and feeling proud of myself 🥳🎉 plus I’m going to treat myself to some new trainers.
Have great weekends all!
