Bring it on Week 7! Week 6 done!

Week 6, run 3 is done and dusted! I actually carried on running a bit longer than suggested to get to 5k over 35mins of running and 5 mins walking. I'm feeling really confident to complete the program, but I guess the real test is keeping up the momentum to do a long run three times a week!

This was also my first run in proper warm weather so feel pretty good that I survived. I also went to a new location - I drove to a local park from where you can walk to a country park with a lake. 1 circuit of the lake and back is exactly 5k so a really good route. It's also much nicer than running around the village as there are no cars around to dodge.

I never thought I'd say this, but I think I love running!

That's great karlotta! Exactly what we want to hear on this forum. I am the same as you - absolutely LOVE it. And what a great idea to change location of your run! I did that recently and its rejuvenated my whole approach. Running the same route can get boring, so a change is as good as an injection of enthusiasm!!

Well done karlotta. I have my 6/3 tomorrow and was contemplating a new route. You may have inspired me to do so.

It was really nice to get a new route for a run - I've walked the route often so know the terrain well. I can highly recommend finding a new outlook!

I do think I might be addicted - I kind of feel really sad that I can't go out again tomorrow - maybe I need to get a bike!

You're doing really well. Glad you are enjoying the programme so much.

Well done, Karlotta! :-) Great feeling, isn't it? It's also very addictive, as I'm finding out myself! Week seven ahoy!

Well done on getting the tough week 6 out of the way. You deserve to feel good. As you know, it's not worth going out tomorrow but your idea of getting a bike for your non-running days is a good one. Cycling is great for cross training and you can get out and about, maybe even looking for new running routes if that were feasible in your area. Good luck with week 7 and best wishes.

Brilliant! I'm in exactly the same position. I found that by varying my route the time went quicker. Just about to start Week 7 and hope I an keep going! Good luck!
