I went up to my hill and prepared to start with my dog of course. 20 mins sounds tough considering I only go up the hill once and was desperate to get to my walk break. Well I DID IT!!!!!! I cant believe it. Obviously I need to increase my speed but I got over that steep bit and kept going up the rest of the hill!!!! I got over the halfway mark (around 12 mins) and turned around to go back down. When Laura said you did it.... I gave myself a huge cheer! I'm still cheering on the inside! I went to the factory on the farm where my OH works and had a cuppa before coming home and showering my muddy mut and myself. She made friends with the pigs on the farm and didn't smell good!!! Madness. She doesn't get on with most dogs but loves Pigs!

What a great photo and a lovely tale, i'm just picturing your dog making friends with the pigs! CONGRATULATIONS on your 1st 20 min run, and up a hill too! I'm very impressed, well done you
Its my old dog "Ruffdog" who passed away last July aged 17, he had cancer on his jaw so i didn't know when his last beach walk was so took a momento picture each week thats one of my favourites - he loved that beach especially in his younger days * spookily had a very vivid dream with him in last night. Have just in last 2 weeks took on a new doggy friend"George" a jack russell cross with a few issues but a real cutie really Just back from w9r1! rewarded with pancakes x 2!! well done on the hill i've only done really short ones so far!
Good luck with your new dog. Congrats on W9 R1 too. Ruffdog looks lovely. My parents dog had the same a few years ago. The vet thought it was an abscess and 'removed it' It came back a few weeks later and took her to my vets. They said they could have her back home but she was in a lot of pain and it was spreading fast. She was rescued. They had her a year. She had a good home for that year. That's all that matters. I'm sure Ruffdog had a good home right to the end!
thankyou. Cancer is a horrible thing, but yes, he had a long happy life I'm sure your parent enjoyed having their dog, shame it was a short time but like you say he had a good year. Seems like it is a very common one on their jaw in dogs. Off on my graduation Parkrun tomorrow Hope you are doing well...............?
I have had to take a few days off as I fell on my slippery kitchen tiles and bruised my knees. I have been walking a lot though but running has been painful. Looking to do W6 R1 tomorrow. Have a good time on your parkrun! XX
I live in Port Talbot. We have a steelworks around the hill from where I live. I also live between two country parks. Clearly the pollution isn't as bad as the council say! The view is from Hafod Grange B&B. Met the owners through my Husband. Lovely people and a lovely place
