Week 2

I just finished Day 1 of Week 2, I am really loving the program and I hope to run my first 5k by April. It's hard to believe because I have never run more than 1 mile without stopping, the thought of doing this has really motivated me.

You should be up to 5k by then. Good Luck for your journey! It's a great programme isn't it?

I am doing run 1 of week 2 next. I am still finding it hard so I can't imagine running 30 mins at the end - gonna do it tho :)

Stick with it. I'm about to start week 7 and never thought I would get this far.

Why wait until April?? You can do it now -easily. You have already proven that you can run 90sec/2min run /walk intervals for 20 minutes. How did you feel at the end of the run? -- did you feel that maybe you could have kept going using those intervals?/ Well , if so -- do so. Go to your nearest Parkrun next Saturday , after finishing the weeks C25K runs - and just using those intervals and running at the same pace as you already have, or maybe a bit slower, get yourself around the 5K course. Do the same next week after you have completed that week - using the same intervals and pace. You will find that your time around the 5K will have decreased just a little bit. Rinse and repeat!! :)
